The Face Shop Haul

I've been meaning to buy new skincare because I am pretty much out of everything. I've been wanting to gear more towards Asian skincare lines because I feel like they work better for Asians but I had no idea where to start! I've heard good things about The Face Shop so I wanted to test some out but there are no stores around where I live in the DMV area. So when I went up to New York last weekend to visit the Bestie, it was the perfect opportunity to stop by the store in Koreatown. I didn't even know where to start or what I was looking for but the sweet girl who works there helped us out by asking us what our skin type is and what we're looking for. After answering few questions she showed us each some products according to our skin type. This is what I ended up leaving the store with.

I have combination skin but it's still very oily so I can't use anything too heavy or oily. This Chia Seed Moisture-Holding Seed Cream is more like a gel type cream--very light but still hydrating and refreshing.

*Taken from the back of the box*
*A moisturizing cream for fully hydrated skin - A refreshing water drops that busts the moment it touches the skin fully hydrates the skin and moisturizes the inside of the skin for an extended period.
*Immediate hydration and a comfortable protective film - Chia seed, which carries moisture 10 times its own weight, and chamomile provide immediate hydration and soothe dry and reddened skin quickly.
*Contains 100% chia seeds extract instead of water - Chia seeds water is extracted within 24 hours via the Fresh method, instead of water delivers the vitality of the highly pure chia seeds.
What is Chia seed?
*Magical moisture seed from South America
*Absorbs moisture 10 times its own weight and forms a natural film of jelly moisture
*A natural seed filled with not only moisture but also nearly all nutrients required by the skin
Directions: Every morning and evening, at the final stage of skin care, dispense an adequate amount and apply evenly to the skin in an outward direction and let absorb.

So far, I am in love with this toner. It's like water but has a tiny bit of a gel consistency and it feels super refreshing as soon as it hits my skin. And it feels like it's hydrating my skin not stripping my oil like some toners I've tried in the past.
*Taken from the back of the box*
*A moisturizing toner that instantly hydrates the skin - Tones dry and patchy dead skin cells and moisturizes the skin as if water is absorbed.
*A natural moisture drop absorbing moisture 10 times its own weight - Chia seeds carrying moisture and the Moisture Hug System adjust the skin into an optimal state to fully retain moisture.
*Contains 100% chia seeds extract instead of water - Chia seeds water is extracted within 24 hours via the Fresh method, instead of water delivers the vitality of the highly pure chia seeds.
Directions: Every morning and evening, after applying boosting essence, dispense an adequate amount on the hands or a cotton puff and apply to the skin and tap lightly for full absorption. Gently press the skin with both palms to finish. (*Soak a cotton puff and place on a dry part. Remove the puff after 30 seconds for long-lasting moisturization.)

Not sure how I feel about this one yet. Only used it once.

Specially formulated with refreshing Green Tea water and cellulose derived from Yams, this light, non-sticky cleanser purges skin of excess sebum, debris and other impurities, while additions of blue Cucumber extract granules gently massage and leave skin feeling exquisitely clean.
Directions: Before washing, gently massage a fair amount over face. Rinse with warm water or simply tissue off.

She gave me some samples to try out.

Anyone tried or is still using The Face Shop? Which products have you tried? And how do you like it?
