Review: Moroccan Oil Dry Scalp Treatment

Healthy Scalp = Healthy Hair
(Taken from their website)
OVERVIEW
Moroccanoil® Dry Scalp Treatment works to restore scalp imbalances, relieve irritation and revitalize hair. This lightweight but concentrated formula with antioxidant-rich argan oil, lavender and geranium oils penetrates deeply to soothe the scalp. Irritation, dryness and itch are instantly relieved. Flakiness is reduced, circulation improves and hair reaps the benefits of vitality and shine.
A few years ago my scalp started to get extremely dry and it got worse every year. My scalp starts to flake and looks like huge dandruff and looks like I got snowed on when I wear dark clothing--It's the worst around my hairline. So I switched over to Phyto Shampoo last year and it helped but not completely. I tried to wash my hair every other day because when you wash your hair too often the shampoo strips the natural oil our skin produces causing it to get even more oily but my scalp would just get way too itchy and end up scratching the crap out of it giving me red scalp.

While shopping for some hair supplies few months ago I saw that Moroccan Oil came out with a new product Dry Scalp Treatment . I love Moroccan Oil Treatments and treatment masks so I picked up one of the dry scalp treatment to test it out. So you separate the hair into four sections and working with one section at a time I then took one inch sections and applied 2-3 drops. Keep working your way around the head until your whole head is done and massage it into your scalp. The box says to leave it in for 5-10 minutes but with my chronic dry scalp I left it in overnight (make sure to cover your pillow with a towel) and shampooed it out the next morning. Let me warn you if you leave it in overnight you will wake up with a grease ball on your head the next morning. It was super oily but after I washed it out it felt great! You can use it weekly until your condition improves and then use it every other week or once a month. The scent is very light and the color of the oil is clear. It retails for $37.80 on their website.

Love Always,
xoxo
